Thoughts For My Niece

My very smart and accomplished niece has just come to Seattle from a smaller place to begin her college education.  Today she got a little lost and probably was late to an appointment.  I think it was stressful for her. 

The long run is composed of thousands and thousands and thousands of short runs.  While it is true that those who do well in the long run are those who take care of most all of the short run situations, it is also true that hardly any short run situation by itself is determinate.  So don't sweat the small stuff - too much.
